APPROVED VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
Verification tests are governed by the National DHIA Uniform Data Collection Procedures. Additional rules may be imposed by the breed registries.
The accepted method for DHIA West is that a different supervisor test the herd for one milking, in addition to the regular milking schedule for a total of three supervised milkings. It is suggested that the different supervisor perform the first (pre) milking in order to verify tattoos and "set" the 24 hour time clock.
In addition to the usual verification test, the breed registries may also accept a One-day Test as a verification. The one-day form must be accompanied by the VT form!
